Dr Mamduhi is a networked cyber-physical systems specialist interested in understanding interactions among various software and hardware components of a large-scale system, including information and physical interactions, and the positive/negative effects of these interactions in performance of each component.

Biography

Dr Mamduhi is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science, The University of Birmingham, UK, and a Senior IEEE Member. Prior to his current position, he was a Senior Scientist at the Automatic Control Lab, Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, at ETH Zürich in Switzerland.

From 2017 to 2020, Mohammad was a Postdoctoral and then a Senior Researcher at the Division of Decision and Control Systems, Department of Intelligent Systems, at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. He received his PhD from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany, in 2017, his MSc is Systems, Control, and Robotics from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, in 2010, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran, in 2008.

Mohammad's research interests include optimal control, networked systems, safe cyber-physical systems, co-design theory, event-based systems, and stochastic evolutionary processes. The research is primarily targeting applications in autonomous vehicles and robotics.
