Dr Mubashir Ali is an Assistant Professor (Education) in the School of Computer Science. He earned his PhD in Engineering and Applied Sciences, University of Bergamo, Italy on the Ministerial Fellowship in 2022. He completed his B.S. degree in computer science from Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2011, and the M.S. degree in software engineering from Bahria University, Islamabad, Pakistan, in 2014, respectively.
During the Ph.D. he worked with an industrial partner ENEA, a National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, Rome, Italy. In summer 2022, he was also a visiting researcher at Department of Cognitive Systems and Neurosciences of the Czech institute of informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics. He was an Assistant Professor with University of Lahore Gujrat Campus, Pakistan, from August 2016 to November 2019. Previously, he worked as a Software Engineer in a research and development based public sector organizations in Pakistan for more than five years.
With several articles in prestigious conferences and journals on his credit, Mubashir is also a reviewer of top ranked journals and TPC member of renowned conferences. His research interests broadly span the areas of machine learning, deep learning, big data analytics, natural language processing, computational social sciences, software repository mining, and internet of things.
