Before joining the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Jinu was working as a Research Fellow at the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues, School of Education at the University of Birmingham. In 2011 Jinu took on the role as a Clinical Research Nurse in the Primary Care department at the University of Birmingham and worked in various projects before moving to educational research at the School of Education. Prior to that Jinu has been working as Clinical Educator at the University of Wolverhampton and as Clinical Skills Educator within the Clinical Education Centre at the Dudley group of Hospitals NHS Trust. Jinu has clinical experience in acute setting at the Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust and also contributed to the skills teaching undertaken by the Learning Centre team working with Physician Associate students and other healthcare professionals.
Jinu joined the School of Nursing as a full time lecturer in 2017 and is currently studying for her Doctorate degree exploring Compassionate Practice and Christianity in nursing.
