Imandeep joined the University of Birmingham in 2021, where she works as Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice in the School of Pharmacy. She leads The Professional Pharmacist 1 module. Imandeep also volunteers as a COVID-19 vaccinator and is a locum community pharmacist. 

Her main area of research is the use of technologies in pharmacy practice, in her PhD she explored the general public and community pharmacists’ perceptions of using robotic dispensing methods: hub and spoke dispensing and pharmacy automation for dispensing in community pharmacies in England.

Biography

IImandeep has been passionate about teaching pharmacy practice which led to her undertake a PhD. She obtained her MPharm degree from Aston University in 2014 and completed her pre-registration training in community pharmacy.

After registering as a pharmacist in 2015, she completed her PhD in 2021 at Coventry University, whilst working as a locum in community pharmacy.In 2021 Imandeep worked as an Associate Lecturer in Pharmacy at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). In this role she gained experience in marking, writing assessments and developing teaching materials specialising in pharmacy practice. Imandeep also gained experience in small group teaching sessions in the university environment.

To maintain her pharmacy practice skills, Imandeep is currently involved in administering COVID-19 vaccinations and training to administer flu vaccinations. Imandeep also works as a locum pharmacist.

Imandeep has also been involved in presenting at various conferences including the RPS Annual Conference 2019: Medicines Safety and PhD symposium 2018 at the Public Health Institute, Liverpool John Moores University.
