Since qualifying in 2003 Oliver has held a number of roles in primary care in both an NHS and private capacity.  He currently works in private practice performing general dentistry with particular interests in orthodontics and endodontics.

Oliver currently sits on the General Dental Councils Fitness to Practice panels. 

Oliver is President Elect for The British Dental Association Central Counties Branch, as well as being a former Chair of the BDA Central Birmingham Section.

Oliver is Clinical Director for a national orthodontic network advising members on clinical issues and lecturing when required.

Oliver sits on The General Dental Councils Fitness to Practice panels since 2015.
