Salma graduated from the School of Dentistry at the University of Birmingham in 2013 with Honours. She went on to complete her FD training in Birmingham and has worked in general practice ever since. She currently works as a dental associate in Wolverhampton four days a week and teaches one session per week at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. Since graduating she has developed her training and knowledge by acquiring the MFDS qualification and a PG Cert in Medical Education as well as becoming a member of the FGDP.
Attaining the role of Educational Supervisor in the Birmingham City Scheme 2018/19 has further developed her interest in teaching dentists at the start of their careers.
In January 2020 she joined the teaching team at the School of Dentistry as Clinical Dental Tutor.
