Alistair works full time at Birmingham Dental Hospital his responsibilities are BDS Year 5 Lead, General Dental Practice Phase Lead, Adult Outreach Lead and has an honorary NHS contract mainly treating patients with tooth surface loss.

He has published a number of peer reviewed articles on the subject of Erosion and intra oral monitoring and is currently pursuing further research in this area.
