S Jayachandran is a general dental practitioner working in South Birmingham and Wolverhampton. He is also a registered Specialist in Prosthodontics providing specialist services for the Thames valley area Team, in Buckinghamshire.

Sivakumar is a registered Mentor and approved VT trainer for the west midlands deanery.

He is also a clinical dental tutor at the school of dentistry in the Institute of Clinical Sciences where he teaches on 3rd and final year Prosthetic clinics.

He is currently working towards his PhD in Current status of Dental implant Education in the UK at the University of Birmingham.

Biography

Sivakumar qualified from the prestigious Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India in 1998 and then completed his Specialist training from TN DR MGR Medical University, and obtained his Master of Dental Surgery – Prosthodontics in 2002. He was involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in Prosthodontics in India till he moved to the UK in 2007.

After his VT equivalence he started practicing as NHS associate dentist and also worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the School of Dentistry, University of Manchester, teaching MSc and MSc (Clinical) students in Prosthodontics.

In 2014 he started with his PhD in University of Birmingham and started working as a clinical specialist in Birmingham Dental Hospital.

He was appointed as a part-time clinical dental tutor at the school of dentistry in 2018.
