Paul Carroll is a part-time Clinical Dental Tutor at the School of Dentistry in the Institute of Clinical Sciences. His time is split between undergraduate teaching in clinical practice, restorative dentistry and simulation teaching, along with post graduate teaching on the Masters in Restorative Dentistry.

Outside of the School, he is a partner in a private implant and restorative referral practice in Shenstone, Nr Lichfield, Staffordshire

Paul’s areas of particular interest include fixed prosthodontics, the management of tooth wear, complex restorative treatment and implant prosthetics.

Biography

Paul Carroll qualified from The University of Sheffield in 1999.  He worked as a full-time general dental practioner before undertaking a four year Masters in Clinical Dentistry in fixed and removable prosthodontics at King’s College London which he completed in 2008.  In 2005 he co-founded Shenstone Dental Centre, a private implant and restorative referral practice, and has worked at the practice ever since.  Paul began undergraduate teaching at Birmingham in 2011 and has worked on the MSc in Restorative Dentistry since its inception in 2017.

He has lectured widely and delivers many hands-on courses in the field of  restorative dentistry.
