Jason works with the School Heads of Learning and Teaching in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, providing advice and co-ordinating the module and programme specifications submitted by Schools for approval. He provides administrative support to the College Programme & Modules Approvals Group (C-PMAG) and liaises with staff from Curriculum Development Unit and the University’s Programme Approval Review Committee.
In addition, Jason supports the taught programmes of study, in particular the undergraduate programmes, in the School of Chemical Engineering.
Jason has a background is in languages, graduating from Aston University in 1993 with a degree in German.
He later completed an MPhil in Modern German Studies in 2006 at Birmingham, in which he researched in the negative dialectical philosophy of Theodor W Adorno. This study sought to identify barbarity immanent in the very structure of enlightenment traditions of thought exemplified by the physical event of Auschwitz.
