Parvez Iqbal qualified with MSci (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham in 2002. He subsequently went on to study for his PhD in the field of nanotechnology and published a thesis entitled “Novel Approaches Towards the Chemical Manipulation and Patterning on Ultrathin Films” at the same institute.
Since obtaining his PhD, Parvez has been a research fellow at the university of Birmingham, researching on a wide range of projects based on enhancing development of nanotechnology. These projects include gene delivery, surface ordering within self-assembled monolayers, synthesis of bimetallic nanoparticles for environmental exposure studies and organic-inorganic hybrid electronic and photonic sensors. Recently, in 2014 he began researching in microencapsulation of water soluble herbicides.
