Before joining the University of Birmingham John accumulated 10 years’ experience in the UK recruitment industry supporting major national public & private sector organisations. He spent two years living in Lodz, Poland where he established his own business offering copywriting, proofreading, English teaching and writing services for a range of businesses and his clients included Coca-Cola and Michelin as well as a number of translation agencies and English schools. Since joining the University of Birmingham John has worked on projects in a number of departments which have included setting-up a new database system within Study Abroad & Exchanges, providing support to directors within the International Office, managing the student mentoring scheme within the Medical School, and assessing project skills of MSc students within the Business School. John joined The School of Chemical Engineering in 2009 where he works as Project Officer to the Centre for Doctoral Training in Fuel Cells and their Fuels.
