Hassan is qualified with a Ph.D. in condensation heat transfer enhancement from the Queen Mary, University of London. He worked with Professor John Rose, Adrian Briggs and H.S. Wang on the development of compact condensers using Marangoni Condensation of stem-ethanol mixtures.
He has extensive experience of initiating, managing and teaching in UG and PG programs in Pakistan, United Kingdom and United Arab Emirates.
More recently, he has been actively working in sustainable air conditioning. He has developed a series of prototypes employing indirect evaporative cooling obtaining very interesting results and useful findings.
Hassan has also been actively working with UAE industry regarding several aspects of energy and sustainable development such as water efficiency, embodied carbon, decarbonisation strategies and building energy to a wider audience ranging from Industry professionals to school students.
In his free time, he tries to read and understand Nietzsche, Kafka and Jaun Alia.
