Dr Slater is a British Heart Foundation Intermediate Research Fellow at Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Birmingham

Dr Slater’s background is in structural biology and protein-protein interactions. His current interests involve using a mixture of x-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy to study the structure of platelet receptors in complex with inhibitory and activating ligands. This knowledge is then used for the development and characterization of novel anti-thrombotic therapies.
