Sarah is a Principal Biostatistician at the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU). She joined the CRCTU in 2006 with a focus on breast and urological cancers. Her trial focus in mainly phase III solid tumour cancers thought she is involved in the design, supervision, analysis and reporting of clinical trials in a variety of clinical areas. Her research focus is in methodology for de-escalation trials and reporting of harms data.

Sarah is statistical lead on several trials within CRCTU and sits on external Data Monitoring Committees for trials run at other trials units.

Biography

Prior to joining the statistics team in 2009 Sarah worked within the CRCTU as part of the trial management team on breast cancer trials.  

Teaching

Sarah is the module lead for the preparation and set-up of a Clinical Trial module within the MSc Clinical Trials. She also contributes to lectures and assists with small group teaching for the MSc Clinical Oncology, MBChB Medicine and Surgery, BMedSc Medical Science Intercalated Degree, Critical Appraisal Skills Programme, and provides training for internal staff within the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit.
