Biography

Grace completed a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Liverpool in 2018. After focussing on Statistical modules and discovering a particular interest in Medical Statistics, she went on to complete a Masters in Medical Statistics at the University of Leicester in 2019.

Grace joined the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU) in 2019 as a Trial Biostatistician, where her responsibilities included conducting analysis and supporting the running of predominantly paediatric cancer clinical trials. These trials ranged from early phase dose finding studies and adaptive single-arm trials, to large, randomised phase II and III clinical trials, all conducted within both Bayesian and frequentist frameworks.

In 2021, Grace moved to the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit as a Medical Statistician, working in a range of disease areas such as women’s health, paediatric mental health and hearing loss.

In 2024, she returned to CRCTU as a Senior Biostatistician where her main responsibilities include design, analysis and reporting of clinical trials, again focussing on paediatric cancer clinical trials. Grace balances her trials work alongside other research and is responsible for developing the CRCTU estimand guidance.
