Charlotte Firth is a Trial Management Team Leader for one of the Children’s Cancer Trials Teams (CCTT) at the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit (CRCTU).

Biography

Charlotte graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences and Humanities from Swansea University in 2008. Following this, she was awarded an MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of the West of England. Charlotte completed a PhD in Immunology in the School of Cancer of Sciences, University of Birmingham in 2015.

Charlotte joined the Adult Late Phase Team (B Team) of the Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Birmingham in 2015, working on CompARE- a trial in head and neck cancer. Charlotte was promoted to Senior Trial Coordinator in 2017 where she continued to work on CompARE as well as further head and neck cancer trials such as ADePT-DDR and PETNECK 2.

In 2021 Charlotte took on a secondment (maternity cover) as Trial Management Team Leader for the Children’s Cancer Trials Team - C. In 2022, Charlotte took on the role as TMTL for the newly formed Children’s Cancer Trials Team- D portfolio, which includes paediatric neuroblastoma and rhabdomyosarcoma trials.
