After graduating in 2010, I began work as a clerk in the legal industry at No5 Barristers Chambers. Working in a fast-paced environment, I spent the next five years developing my communication skills and gaining priceless life experience in this role.
Seeking different opportunities and pastures new, in 2016 I trained as an English teacher. I spent the next few years teaching on a range of short to mid-term contracts in several European locations for such international education companies as EF Education First and International House.
Since 2018, I have taught in several EAP roles. This has included teaching on a 'Global English' programme at the University of Kanagawa, Japan, as well as teaching on three pre-sessional programmes (2019 - 2021) for the University of Birmingham, where I continue to teach on a Foundation Programme.
