Anita has worked at the University of Birmingham since 1993 after completing a PhD looking at the assessment and characterisation of bacterial load in chronic lung disease.
Since 2003 Anita has been organising and administering large and complex clinical research projects, including international, multi-centre clinical trials in alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, COPD and bronchiectasis. This involves contributing to the design, conduct, analysis, publication and presentation of clinical trials research.
Anita has a wealth of experience of research ethics and working to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
