Indrakantha is a post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Global Health unit based in the Department of Applied Health Sciences. He is a public health physician and is currently working on Trauma Registry related studies in several countries.

Biography

Indrakantha is a physician, specializing in community medicine and public health. He has experience in conducting public health prevention and promotion programmes at field level and national level, in Low Middle Income Country settings. In addition, he has been involved with planning and development of national level policies and actions plans as a senior public officer and a UN health officer. His academic and professional experience is mainly related to NCD prevention and control. He has also been involved with public health research, especially related to injuries.

  • Developing data-informed policy for injury care in low- or middle-income country contexts: Exploring the challenges to implementing the WHO Trauma Registry.
