Jack Hall is a medical statistician at the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit (BCTU).

Jack’s interests are in the design, conduct and analysis of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and cluster randomised trials (CRTs). He is the trial statistician for trials in vascular surgery, gastroenterology, intensive care, paediatric medicine, and women’s health.

Biography

Jack joined the Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit in September 2022 after earning his MSc in Medical Statistics from the University of Leicester. He is responsible for the design, conduct, and analysis of late phase randomised controlled trials, and has supported trials in vascular surgery, gastroenterology, intensive care, paediatric medicine, and women’s health.

Jack has a particular interest in the design and analysis of cluster randomised trials, and is undertaking a PhD supervised by Karla Hemming, Samuel Watson and Jon Bishop. His methodology research focusses on evaluating statistical methods for CRTs with binary outcomes.
