Timothy Roberts
Current role
I am currently working as a sport scientist with the Gatorade Sport Science Institute in Bradenton Florida. In our exercise performance laboratory we work with high school athletes to NFL and NBA superstars, helping them achieve optimal performance through research and education in hydration and nutrition science. I was fortunate enough to get this position only a few months after graduation. In that time I was actively searching for jobs while keeping up to date with the new literature in my area of expertise.

During my studies I was a member of the golf team, managed and played for an intramural 6-aside football team and worked in the Human Performance Laboratory.
Any tips to pass on to students thinking of coming here?
It is important to quickly find a balance between your studies, your sport and your social life. Make sure you stay motivated to work hard and achieve what you set out to on your 1st day of term as a freshman.
What are your aspirations for the future?
My aspirations for the future are to become a leader in the field of exercise performance testing. Working with elite athletes to assess their physiology, metabolism, nutrition, hydration and functional strength and movement; helping them to achieve optimal performance with proper nutrition, hydration and strength conditioning science.
