Vicki has a background in public health and organisational development and has worked in the NHS since 1985 in a variety of roles in health promotion, public health, and in an organisational development role for the South East Health Authorities Chief Executive’s Group. She has also had an academic profile having worked as an Associate Lecturer for the Open University on a range of courses since 1990 including the MBA, Professional Diploma in Management, Certificate in Management, the Mary Seacole programme and public health courses. Vicki was Course Director for the MSc in public health and health promotion (until 2016) and the MSc in International Health Services and Hospital Management at London South Bank University (until September 2019).
Vicki’s interests are in leadership for health and wellbeing and wider leadership development and she has undertaken a range of consultancy projects for the Centre for Professional and Leadership Development at the Open University and worked on a number of bespoke leadership development programmes with a wide range of clients (including Leadership for Life (Police Service Northern Ireland), D4L – leadership programme for Nottinghamshire Mental Health Care Trust, Leadership for service improvement, Milton Keynes PCT and Hay Emotional competence - assessments for Hyburn & Ribble PCT).
Vicki’s experience in delivering leadership and development programmes, combined with public health experience and working across all levels in the NHS and wider public sector and academic interests provides rich background for working with participants on the programme. Vicki has been working with the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Programme since June 2015.
