Contributing to Social Policy Matters
Social Policy Matters is a bi-monthly magazine. All submissions and queries can be emailed to socialpolicymatters@contacts.bham.ac.uk
News
- Your news can be included in our News in Brief round up, or can appear as a separate feature.
- We accept all kinds of news, such as new grants and studies, publications, events appearances, and new appointments.
- For the News in Brief, your news will be written as a single sentence.
- For a separate News feature, the word count is between 200 - 500 words.
- Staff and students can submit news.
Spotlight
- Our Spotlight section features human interest pieces based on School staff, students, alumni and research.
- The word count is 300 - 600 words
Student Voice
- Our Student Voice section features pieces written exclusively by School of Social Policy students from undergraduate to doctoral level.
- All ideas are considered and our editors are available to assist you in the writing process.
- Please email your pitch (a few sentences explaining your article idea) to the email address at the top of this page.
- The word count for this section is 300 - 600 words.
