The pandemic has dramatically accelerated these changes, highlighting the importance of population health and universal coverage to overcome inequalities and the capabilities gap between technology and health workforce to meet these objectives. About the Speaker:
Verdiana Morando is Managing Director of Education and Consultancy at GSD Healthcare, Dubai (UAE), International office of San Donato Hospital Group; and adjunct Professor in Healthcare Management at both Gulf Medical University and Vita Salute San Raffaele University. She has more than fifteen years of experience in healthcare management and health policymaking. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Manchester Business School, and an MSC in
During her career, she has worked at Bocconi Business School; at the Lombardy Region Institute for Research and Statistics for the strategy unit of health policy analysis, and at ISTUD Foundation Business School (health practice). She joined several international research programs, with NIHR (National Institute for Health Research), the European Health Observatory on Healthcare System and Policy, and the WHO office for Healthcare System Governance. She is a member of several different international management academies and the author of articles in peer-reviewed journals.
