Why Virtue Ethics Does Not Have a Problem with Right Action
Abstract
Theories in which virtue is central are sometimes criticized for lacking 'action guidance', by which is meant lacking a 'theory of right action'. The paper shows the kind of account of right action that is provided by an ethics of virtue, and also shows why some theorists have mistakenly demanded a different kind.
