Title of PhD: The role of neural oscillations in attention and visual perception

Supervisors: Professor Kim Shapiro (primary) , Dr Simon Hanslmayr

Aleksandra is a PhD student investigating the processes and neural correlates of attention. Using psychophysical and neuroimaging techniques she aims to explore further the relation between attention and brain oscillations.

Biography

Aleksandra obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Glasgow and completed her MRes in Brain Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Klaus Kessler, also at the University of Glasgow. During her undergraduate and Masters degrees she worked as a part time research assistant as well as a teaching assistant. Aleksandra is currently a PhD student at the University of Birmingham.
