Title of PhD: Stuttering and Silent Reading

Chloé Corcoran is interested in the underlying factors which cause stuttering, particularly cognitive/linguistic factors which arise before overt articulation. This work involves the use of eye-tracking methodology to examine the silent reading processes of people who stutter compared to people who do not.

Biography

Chloé Corcoran has an Upper Second Class B.Sc. Hons in Psychology from the University of Birmingham. She won a partial Scholarship to complete a Masters of Research in Psychology also at the University of Birmingham, in which she obtained a Distinction. She won a complete Scholarship from the University of Birmingham for her Ph.D. entitled “Stuttering and Silent Reading” under the supervision of Dr. Steven Frisson.
