Following his MSc in computational neuroscience and robotics Diar Abdlkarim started his doctoral research in the area of upper limb rehabilitation using robotic guidance and motion capture as an assessment and training tool to correlate to clinical outcome measures.

Biography

Diar Abdlkarim completed his undergraduate neuroscience degree in Manchester followed by a computational neuroscience masters programme at the University of Birmingham. For the previous two years before his PhD Diar worked as a research associate looking at quantifying manual task performance at the University of Birmingham in collaboration with industry.

Other activities

Diar is the co-founder of a UK based technology company that looks at the application of autonomous vehicles for industrial surveying applications in construction and mining. Diar is currently co-supervising an MSc student with a final year project in developing a mobile ground-air autonomous system.
