The degree programmes
Programme structure
The programmes are all four years in duration :
- Year one consists of four Birmingham modules, covering the foundations of Applied Mathematics, and between seven and ten Jinan modules, depending on your degree.
- Year two is composed of four Birmingham modules, consolidating the knowledge you have gained in year one, and varying numbers of Jinan modules depending upon your degree programme.
- Year three consists of a final set of four Birmingham modules, and Jinan modules depending on your degree programme, including optional modules in some degree programmes.
- Year four modules are taught by Jinan staff. They include an internship and a thesis, and other modules depending on the degree programme, including optional modules enabling you to tailor your degree to your requirements.
Assessment
Throughout you will be assessed by a mixture of continuous assessment and formal examinations.
Staff
The Applied Mathematics component is taught by staff from the School of Mathematics, University of Birmingham. Professor Chris Good is the Programme Lead.
