Anastasios received his BSc in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, in 2010. After completing his BSc, Anastasios undertook an MSc at the University of Reading, UK, in Atmosphere, Oceans and Climate. His Masters thesis investigated the Climate-Vegetation feedbacks during the last glacial cycle.
Before starting his PhD at the University of Birmingham in September 2012, in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, Hamburg, Anastasios worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of Cyprus. He was employed by the “learning in science group” (2011-12), developing instructional materials to address the difficulties students encounter in learning physics.
