Description

The module includes:

• Study of magma genesis and magmatic evolution in specific tectonic environments
• The inference of metamorphic pressure and temperature distributions in space and time
• Textural evolution of tectonites

The module aims refine and further develop understanding of igneous and metamorphic processes

Assessment

• 1.5 hour written examination 
• Practical assessment, laboratory notes andclass test on hand-specimens and thin sections
