Our water team

Helping our clients to embed good water stewardship practices into their projects is at the core of what we do. Our water specialists work internationally across a broad range of projects including site characterisation, climate change, runoff and recharge analysis, groundwater and surface water modelling, water, and load balances, mine water management and design, environmental impact assessment, and operational support. The team also have extensive fieldwork experience in climates ranging from the Arctic to sub-Saharan Africa. Our work often involves collaboration with other disciplines which offers a great opportunity to understand other considerations of mining operation.

Our Scholarship programme

The scholarship encourages and supports students to complete a Masters degree and provides the successful recipient with a financial contribution to assist in furthering their studies.

It will also provide the recipient with the opportunity to work alongside our water specialists and gain hands-on experience in their selected field, during their summer dissertation.

This is a unique learning experience providing exposure to the international consulting environment.

Value

The value of the scholarship is up to a maximum of £1,500 which will be payable directly to the University for course fees.

Additional student opportunity

Recipients of the scholarship may be provided with the opportunity to undertake a suitable research project for their Masters, of up to a maximum of 16 weeks. SRK will provide various options for projects in the second term of the course. Should this involve working in the office in SRK Cardiff an hourly payment may be given in lieu of accommodation and temporary relocation expenses.
