The University of Birmingham is delighted to be hosting the 18th UK National Heat Transfer Conference. The conference is an in-person, three day conference held in Birmingham on the 9-11th of September 2024.

The UK National Heat Transfer Conference organised under the aegis of the UK National Heat Transfer Committee every two years, is the premier forum in the UK for the local and international heat transfer community to meet, disseminate ongoing work and discuss the latest advances in the heat transfer field.

Topics include forced, natural and mixed convection, two-phase flows, boiling and evaporation, condensation, high and low Prandtl number effects, porous and adsorbent media, and radiation plus special application focused sessions on heat transfer in energy storage, sorption technologies and power generation systems.

Call for abstracts

Scientists and engineering researchers from academia and industry are invited to submit extended abstracts describing original research in line with the conference themes. the organising committee will review the abstracts and confirm acceptance.
