Great leadership is underpinned by ethical decision making. This does not mean that leaders have to take the path most comfortable but that they recognise the values that drive them personally and their organisation.
Being aware of how your vision and values are observed and experienced by others is an essential ingredient in the leadership matrix. Only then can we truly understand what it is like to be led by people like us and how out emphasis on doing the right thing produces sustainable success.

About the speaker
Sir David Carter was CEO at the Cabot MAT in Bristol before becoming the first Regional Schools Commissioner for the South West of England. He then became National Schools Commissioner and, as an authentic education leader, was a strong influence on government policy.
