Call for papers
Submissions are invited for the 2015 School of Education Doctoral Research Conference. The conference is an excellent opportunity for doctoral researchers to present papers or posters on education-related topics to a friendly and constructively critical audience. Accepted papers will be presented in parallel sessions, with 20 minutes allocated to each paper; accepted posters will be on display throughout the day, with an opportunity over lunch for delegates to ask poster presenters about their work.
Submissions for paper presentations should take the form of an abstract of no more than 300 words. For poster submissions, just a title will be required. There is no conference theme so your submission may address any education-related topic. You may give a general overview of your research project or a close examination of a particular issue, problem, concept or research method. Please bear in mind that your audience may not have expertise on your topic, though you can assume a broad familiarity with educational research, policy and practice.
Posters should be no smaller than A3 (30cm x 42cm) and no bigger than A1 (84cm x 59cm). A prize of £25 (in the form of a voucher) will be awarded to the best poster at the conference.
Please note that the submission deadline has now passed. If you are interested in submitting an abstract, please contact Denise Lees (d.p.lees@bham.ac.uk)
Registration
You will be contacted by Denise Lees with registration details after submitting your paper or poster proposal.
