I have a BA Hons in Drama from Liverpool John Moores University; a Master’s Degree in Shakespeare and Education from the Shakespeare Institute, Stratford-upon-Avon; and a PGCE in Drama from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London.
I was a full-time Drama teacher between 2013 and 2018 (including my NQT year). During this time, I also taught English (up to GCSE) and a variety of other subjects at KS3 (including Music, Dance, Religious Education, and Languages). Any students who wish to pursue a career in teaching (in either drama/performance, English, or Special Needs education) are welcome to contact me on the details provided.
My professional curiosity and desire to develop my understanding of and make an impact on the world of education led me back to the Shakespeare Institute, where I am currently a full-time Postgraduate student, studying for a PhD in teaching Shakespeare to children who have additional education needs as a result of experiencing early childhood trauma.
