Research

Kate is a PhD student investigating the interplay between language attitudes, home language environments and academic achievement among D/deaf and Hard of Hearing adolescents using a combination of questionnaires, interviews, a behavioural experiment and assessments. She is a Deaf American with fluency in ASL, working knowledge in LIS and basic knowledge in BSL and NGT. She has taught English to Deaf students in the US, Italy and Netherlands.
