The Birmingham English Department Society, lovingly referred to as Bedsoc, is a student run society seeking to arrange events, both literary and non-literary, for all the students in the English department.
We work with the department to arrange staff/student debates, English parent schemes and one-off talks from inspirational speakers, like Laura Bates. Additionally, we organise theatre trips, inter-society bar crawls and quizzes, and our annual Spring Ball! We aim to be bigger and better each year, providing more events for you, so we are always open to all the weird and wonderful suggestions from any of the students within the society.
