Chemistry graduates are at the forefront of solving society’s most pressing global problems; from tackling vascular disease and creating sustainable plastics, to developing the next generation of materials for hydrogen storage, fuel cell, battery, solar cell and nuclear industries.
As a Birmingham graduate you’ll develop the required academic and transferable skills during your studies to enable you to join the next generation of problem solvers. You will also have access to our excellent career planning support, which includes the University Careers Network. This is a team of specialist careers advisors who will support you throughout your studies and for up to two years after you graduate. They provide support, guidance, workshops, and one-on-one sessions in areas such as CV writing, interview preparation, finding an internship and mentoring. You can find out what some of our graduates went on to do by reading their stories below.
