In June 2022, the University of Birmingham hosted the British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA) conference 2022 at Birmingham Business School. The conference theme was ‘Why Employment Relations Matter(s) for Democratizing Work’. A stewardship team from the OWE Group/Department of Management (Genevieve Coderre-LaPalme,Tony Dobbins, Andy Hodder, Paul Lewis, Alex Wood) and POLSIS (David Bailey) held the BUIRA stewardship at Birmingham from 2019-2022.
