What other funding is available?
The Grants Register
Most large public libraries will have a copy of the Grants Register and possibly other publications, which list various grant-awarding and charitable bodies which may be willing to assist postgraduate students in certain circumstances.
The British Council
The largest provider of assistance to international students is the British Council . As well as distributing British Government awards, it also acts as an agent for other funding bodies. For further information, contact the nearest British Council office to your home or, if in doubt or there is not one near you, the Educational Attache at the British Embassy or High Commission in your capital city.
