Alan Walters Building
Devoted to the teaching of postgraduate courses, the Alan Walters Building opened in September 2016 after a £10 million investment from the University and a generous philanthropic donation from Lady Walters.
The facility offers a truly exceptional experience for future generations of postgraduate business students and contains several distinctive features for students of postgraduate programmes at Birmingham Business School, including the campus’ first Harvard-style lecture theatre. The high quality facility also provides dedicated learning spaces and communal areas for studying and group work for the Business School’s MSc and MBA students.

Future development
The University is in the midst of one of the most exciting and transformational campus redevelopments since the first phase of building on our Edgbaston campus was completed in 1909 under the auspices of Sir Aston Webb.
The development projects, worth £606 million over a five year period, are creating outstanding new facilities which will benefit students, staff and the local community. Pioneering projects at other University sites are also ensuring that our investment is not confined to our main campus.
