UCON - Our Commitment to Privacy
UCON trial is operated by the University of Birmingham. Your privacy is important to us. When you provide us with personal and confidential information, the University safeguards that information and make sure that it is used only for the purposes you intend. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practice.
Information collected and stored automatically
When you visit this website, the University may store some or all of the following (‘user browser information’): the Internet address from which you access the website, date and time, the Internet address of the website from which you linked to our site, the name of the file or words you searched, items clicked on a page, and the browser and operating system used. The University may share this information with Crunch Simple Digital, who may measure the number of visitors to the various sections of our site and identify system performance or problem areas. Data retention by Crunch Simply Digital
The user browser information received by Crunch Simple Digital, will be retained and held securely by Crunch according to their strict data safety and privacy values. The data will be automatically deleted 90 days after the website is taken down.
Data retention by the University
The information you submit to us through the website will be held on a secure, encrypted database. Database security includes physical safeguards (limited facility access to and control of physical database servers; firewall hardware); technical safeguards (unique user IDs, automatic log-off, and encryption and decryption; firewall software); and technical policies (offsite backup and data recovery procedures). The data you submit through the website will be retained for the duration of the UCON study.
Security
For site security purposes, the University and CRUNCH uses software programs to monitor traffic and to identify unauthorised attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.

The University website may provide links to other Internet sites. Once you link to another site, you are subject to the privacy policy of the new site.
Your acceptance
