The MidEx Programme has been established to conduct and sustain leading edge research and facilitate the sharing of best practice in Midlands based organisations.
It has been established following a very generous donation from the Trustees of the Midlands Excellence Charity, founded in 1996 to help the region's economy improve. The programme, based in the Birmingham Business School, works in partnership with practitioners and Investors in Excellence, once a subsidiary of the Charity, to guide the focus of research to benefit organisations in the public, private and third sectors.
MidEx integrates research, teaching and practitioner engagement to drive improvement in all types of organisations across the Midlands. Building on the previous work of the Midlands Excellence charity we are working towards building a stronger economy by shared learning and development from across the university and a network of external organisations.
