Central Postgraduate Scholarships

The University of Birmingham is proud to offer over £33 million's worth of scholarships to support students pursuing a postgraduate degree on programmes commencing in the 2024-2025 academic year. As a university, we offer scholarships at both department-level for specific subjects as well as scholarships that are applicable to many students, known as "central scholarships".

We have a range of central scholarships that offer tuition fee waivers and cash payments, such as:

• £2,000 Birmingham Masters Scholarship
• £4,000 Postgraduate Progression Award
• £10,000 AI and Data Science Scholarship
• 125th Anniversary Scholarships for Black British PhD researchers
