College of Life and Environmental Sciences - Postgraduate Online Open Day for programmes in Toxicology and Molecular Biotechnology
- Dates
- Wednesday 24 January 2024 (09:30-10:30)
Toxicology relates to many aspects of our everyday activities, so a career in this field promises to provide a variety of opportunities aimed at improving the standard of life and the environment. Our courses also provide the opportunity to explore research into other associated fields such as molecular biology, cellular biology and omics, as well as implications within law and legislation, and how the impact on industry, health, the environment and society affects us all. Discover how research in this field can impact our world on both a macro and micro level. Our Molecular Biotechnology course approaches things from a cellular level, examining molecular and cellular biology, functional genetics and genomics, together with protein chemistry. Enhance key skills such as process engineering, molecular biology, functional genomics, 'omics' technologies, protein expression systems and antibody engineering. The School of Biosciences is internationally recognised as a major centre for a broad range of bioscience subjects, offering integrated research-led teaching within a highly interactive teaching environment.
Our online open day will inspire you to take your education to the next level on one of our postgraduate taught or research courses in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences. Join us online between 09:30-10:30 on Wednesday 24 January 2024 to find out more.
At our online Postgraduate Online Open Day, you will be able to meet and ask questions to our researchers for the following courses:
There will also be sessions on admissions and accommodation so that you learn how to enhance your application and student experience when you come to Birmingham.
