Structure of the service

Libraries and Learning Resources is one of the divisions within Academic Services. Our director is Diane Job. There are seven departments within Libraries and Learning Resources:

Library Customer Support

  • Customer service, service development, engagement with academic staff, learning space development, and administrative support.
  • Assistant Director: Ian Keepins

Academic Skills

Collections, Discovery and Research Communications

  • Print and digital collection development and tools, copyright and licensing, support for open access and researcher development.
  • Assistant Director: John Dowd

Special Collections

Learning Resources Accommodation Team (LRAT)

Education Development

  • Support for teaching and learning innovations, and career-long professional development for staff who teach and support learning.
  • Assistant Director: Sarah King

Digital Education

  • Provision and support for the University's digital ecosystem of tools to facilitate and innovate in digital teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Assistant Director: Mark Hancock
