National users are derived from the UK Biomolecular NMR Community, from across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Starting from a modest group of twelve joint academic member institutions in 2004, the facility has since provided access to >50 research groups from over 30 academic institutions.
Commercial users include companies who design and develop NMR equipment, software, pharmaceutical agents, and biotechnology products through service, collaboration and partnership agreements.
Local projects encompass a wide range of multi-disciplinary research spanning biomedical science, through molecular science, all the way to engineering. The local user community thus extends across all three Colleges of Medicine & Health (CMH), Life and Environmental Sciences (LES) and Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS).
