Qualifications: PhD Engineering Materials, University of Sheffield; MSci Chemistry (Hons), University of Birmingham; IOSH Managing Safely level 2.
In my role current role at the Collaborative Teaching Laboratory, I am responsible for the organisation of all Building related works and improvements, liaising with external contractors and the internal Estates team to ensure the building is operational and we provide students with the best learning facility possible.
I also help to arrange all events hosted in the CTL, which can include tours for visiting Academics, Applicant Visit Day activities for prospective students and Outreach activities introducing school children to STEM subjects.
Experience
Prior to my current role, I have worked in various different areas across the University, including Digital Marketing and Communication, Academic Administration in various Schools within the University and as a Laboratory Technician in the School of Metallurgy and Materials.
Before I worked for the University, I obtained a PhD in Engineering Materials, with a focus on the structure-property relationships of perovskite related materials for use as microwave dielectric resonators.
